Set up Avant
- Unpack Avant and place it on a flat, water-resistant surface at least 12 inches from walls, furniture and electronics. Keep it off the floor.
- Fill the tank with cool, clean water up to the MAX line (2.2 L). Distilled or demineralized water is best.
- Refit the cover, plug Avant in, and tap Mist.

When the water runs low, the light flashes for 30 seconds and Avant switches itself off. Refill it and tap Mist to start again.
Everyday use
- Start on High to raise humidity quickly, then switch to Low.
- Use Sleep overnight for low mist and no light.
- Empty any leftover water every day and refill with fresh water.
- Aim for 30–50% humidity. A hygrometer makes this easy to check.
Care and cleaning
This routine follows the EPA's guidance for home humidifiers.
- Every day: unplug Avant, empty the tank, wipe it dry and refill with fresh water.
- Every third day: unplug and empty Avant. Wipe the tank and mist plate with a soft cloth or brush, remove any scale with diluted white vinegar, then rinse thoroughly with clean water and let everything air-dry.
- Always: use distilled or demineralized water to prevent white mineral dust and scale.
Before storing Avant, clean it and let every part dry completely.
Safety
- Always unplug Avant before filling, moving or cleaning it.
- Never immerse the base in water or run Avant without water.
- Use water only: no essential oils, fragrance or other additives.
- Keep Avant out of reach of children and pets, and don't cover the mist outlet.
- Don't humidify above 50%. Too much humidity can encourage mold and dust mites.

Returns and refunds
If your Avant arrives damaged, doesn't work, or isn't what you ordered, email support@calibre.international within 10 days of delivery with your order number and a photo or short video. We'll send a replacement or refund you. We're unable to accept change-of-mind returns. Read the full refund policy.

Does Avant measure or hold a set humidity level?
No. Choose High, Low or Sleep, plus a 2, 4 or 8-hour timer. For precise control, pair Avant with an inexpensive hygrometer and aim for 30–50% humidity.
What's the white dust near my humidifier?
Minerals from tap water. Switch to distilled or demineralized water and clean the tank every third day to prevent it.
Can I add essential oils?
Please don't. Avant is designed for water only.
Can I use the timer in Sleep mode?
The timer and night light work in High and Low modes. Sleep mode runs until you switch it off or the water runs low, when Avant turns itself off.
Will it work with US outlets?
Yes. Avant comes with a US plug and runs on standard household power.
